New York, NY – The Investorside Research Association, the trade association for the U.S. independent research industry, has scheduled its seventh annual Independents’ Day conference for April 3rd, 2012 in New York City.
As part of this year’s Independents’ Day, participants will be informed through a discussion of the current political landscape and what the November election results will mean for Washington and beyond. Three long-time Washington insiders, Panelists Steven W. Eichenauer and Scott W. Reed and moderator Gregory R. Valliere will bring their decades of expertise to the panel for an exciting discussion of this timely and consequential subject.
- Eichenauer is a partner at Public Strategies Washington, an independently-owned, full-service government relations and lobbying firm that provides clients with unique insights into the workings of Washington, helping them to navigate the political and procedural waters that lie between them and their policy goals. Eichenauer manages the firm’s government relations practice and directs the development of lobbying strategy on behalf of our clients, with a particular focus on international trade, financial services, appropriations, energy and environment, and health care.
- Reed serves as Chairman of Chesapeake Enterprises, a Washington, DC-based consulting firm specializing in federal and state legislative, regulatory, and governmental matters for corporate clients. Prior to founding Chesapeake Enterprises, Mr. Reed was the Campaign Manager for Bob Dole’s 1996 Presidential campaign, directed preparations for the 1996 Republican National Convention in San Diego, served as the Executive Director of the Republican National Committee, was chief operating officer of the GOP in 1993 and 1994, and served as Chief of Staff to Secretary Jack Kemp at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
- With more than 30 years of experience in covering Washington for institutional investors, Greg Valliere serves as Chief Political Strategist for Potomac Research group, coordinating political and economic research for the firm. Potomac Research Group is a rapidly growing independent research firm formed in 2008 to provide Washington policy and market analysis to institutional investors. Valliere focuses on the impact of macro policies, including Congressional and Executive Branch action on fiscal policies and the Federal Reserve Board’s interest rate policies. Prior to joining Potomac Research, Mr. Valliere served as Chief Policy Strategist for Soleil Securities Corporation. He previously held key strategy roles at Charles Schwab’s Washington Research Group and The Washington Forum.
