New York – AMG, a provider of fund flows and holdings data, recently released a new website and expanded suite of data products. The new website (www.amgdata.com) features extensive product descriptions and informational white papers discussing its fund flows and holdings data products.
Compared to the other major providers of fund flows data, AMG’s dataset has the broadest coverage of US-based mutual funds, with approximately 19,000 funds covered representing $11.3 in total AUM. It also has the longest time series on its data, with coverage extending back to January of 1992. Data is collected on a weekly basis and distributed to clients with one-day turnaround.
AMG represents a boutique alternative to State Street—the most widely known supplier of fund flows data. State Street has broader coverage than AMG in terms of total AUM represented, but only covers 10,500 funds. It also has a shorter time series on its data.
In addition to AMG, Integrity has identified several other boutique suppliers of fund flows data. For more information on these various providers, contact Will Greene (William.greene@integrity-research.com).
