Author David Trainer

David Trainer is founder and CEO of New Constructs which specializes in reversing accounting distortions on the underlying economics of business performance and stock valuation. He is author of Modern Tools for Valuation (Wiley Finance 2010). From 2013-2017, he was a member of the Investors Advisory Committee (IAC) of the Financial Accounting Standards Board. From 2007-2015, he was Managing Partner of Novo Capital Management, LLC, an adviser to a hedge fund that licensed New Constructs’ data to implement proprietary trading strategies. Prior to founding New Constructs in 2002, David worked for Credit Suisse First Boston where he created an economic-based earnings model and brand and also worked as an analyst covering the financial services sector. Prior to Wall Street, he was an executive compensation consultant and staff accountant with Arthur Andersen. He earned his B.S. in International Business from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.
