Bear jumps on the performance evaluation bandwagon


An Equity Research News reader informs us that Bear Stearns research consultant, Michael J. Downey, has also agreed to hire Syracuse professor Fernando Diz to provide performance evaluation of the independent equity research they plan to offer to their customers as part of the $1.4 billion Spitzer research settlement.

how would you expect the evaluation Diz is doing to differ from your analysis at Integrity? do you see this as a signifigant sign of a shift in how research will be evaluated?
