New York, NY – Last week’s agreement between US House and Senate negotiators on a financial regulation bill moves the Obama administration one step closer to the most extensive regulatory overhaul of Wall Street in decades. In the wake of this development, Dallas-based agency broker, Capital Institutional Services (CAPIS) will be sponsoring its 2010 Public Policy forum on Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 to discuss the implications of the proposed financial reform, as well as the prospects for regulatory reform in a number of other key policy areas.
Given the extensive legislative agenda of the Obama administration, and the significance of many of these potential regulatory changes, buy-side investors’ use of Washington policy research has exploded in recent years. In fact, according to a recently published report by Integrity Research Associates, 58 policy research and political intelligence firms now market their research and advisory services to the institutional investor community.
