Our Take
The upcoming Crux Summit is the second free virtual conference Crux has sponsored in 2020, the first being the Data & Sustainability Summit held in June of this year. As mentioned previously, Crux is producing these events without charging panelists, attendees, or even accepting sponsorships. Their primary purpose is to build the Crux brand as a thought leader in the data ecosystem, providing educational opportunities like their two conferences.
The content presented in this week’s conference looks to be top notch with high quality panelists, providing attendees an opportunity to learn a great deal about various aspects of the data supply chain from the perspective of data suppliers, consumers, and technology vendors. I am looking forward to the kick off panel where leaders from JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley will discuss how they have upgraded their massive bank infrastructure. In addition, I am interested to hear executives from Schroders and Google Cloud discuss the evolution of data science tools. I am also looking forward to listen to a member of Microsoft’s Azure data team discuss his perspective of various data marketplace initiatives.
