Earlier this month, GLG announced the relaunch of myGLG, its client platform, with a suite of agentic AI tools designed to accelerate expert research workflows without sacrificing the depth of human expertise. Then on May 14, 2026, GLG made its Expert Content Library available to Bloomberg Terminal clients via ASKB, Bloomberg’s conversational AI interface, currently in beta.
The Relaunch of myGLG
The reimagined myGLG platform introduces three core capabilities. The Strategic Research Agent transforms client questions into structured research angles and expert recommendations within minutes, routing every input to GLG’s white-glove service teams for custom recruiting and deeper partnership. The Flexible Insight Gathering agent lets users choose between direct one-on-one expert calls or AI moderator-led sessions that probe deeper in real time, with multi-lingual quantitative survey capabilities across large populations. Finally, the Precision Synthesis Tooling agent generates summaries and collates themes across calls, video, audio, and uploaded client and third-party materials, with every insight traceable to a specific timestamp or quote.
The myGLG platform builds on GLG’s existing compliance framework and includes configurable data governance to protect confidentiality and ensure protocol compliance across all tools. For buy-side clients subject to strict MNPI policies, that audit trail is critical because it often determines whether a firm’s compliance team will approve the platform.
John Londono, Chief Product Officer at GLG, commented on this recent enhancement saying, “We’re building a future where research is both human-led and AI-augmented. The sophisticated tooling in myGLG supports our clients’ workflows across the entire expert research lifecycle in one secure environment, removing the friction between a complex problem and a confident, strategic decision.”
Gemma Postlethwaite, CEO at GLG, added: “Our clients know that gaining an edge requires trusted human expertise, judgment, and knowledge. Our myGLG platform empowers clients to deepen the value of every expert engagement and meaningfully accelerate their time to key insight. With this reimagined research experience, alongside the specialized service of our global teams and advancements in our leading compliance infrastructure, we are reinventing the industry we invented.”
GLG’s ASKB Integration
GLG recently expanded its partnership with Bloomberg by integrating GLG’s Expert Content Library into Bloomberg’s new AI-powered ASKB interface on the Bloomberg Terminal. The integration enables mutual clients to access GLG’s unblinded expert transcripts, moderated interviews, webcasts, and channel-check content directly through ASKB’s conversational AI environment. Users can ask natural-language questions and combine GLG’s expert insights with Bloomberg’s extensive market data, news, and analytics to support investment research and decision-making.
The partnership reflects Bloomberg’s broader strategy of embedding premium third-party research and expert intelligence into ASKB, which is designed to streamline workflows and accelerate idea generation for institutional investors. GLG CEO Gemma Postlethwaite said the collaboration helps clients access “trusted, verified expertise” at greater speed and scale, while Bloomberg executives emphasized the growing importance of AI-driven workflows in navigating increasingly complex financial markets.
Andrew Skala, Global Head of Research Product and Agentic Workflows at Bloomberg, explained: “Investors are facing a new era defined by a surge of financial information, global market complexity, and the race for alpha-generating insights. With the integration of GLG’s Expert Content Library directly into ASKB, mutual clients can use the Bloomberg Terminal to quickly surface high-value expert insights and augment their entire investment process.”
The myGLG platform is available now to GLG clients worldwide, with additional tools and enhancements rolling out over the coming weeks.
About GLG
GLG, formally known as Gerson Lehrman Group, was founded in 1998 by Yale Law School graduates Mark Gerson and Thomas Lehrman. The company originally operated as a publishing business producing industry guidebooks for institutional investors before pivoting toward expert networking after clients expressed stronger interest in direct conversations with industry specialists. Over time, GLG became one of the pioneers and largest players in the expert network industry, connecting institutional investors, corporations, consultants, and professional services firms with subject-matter experts across industries worldwide.
Today, GLG provides a broad suite of services including one-on-one expert consultations, custom surveys, private conferences, executive learning programs, board recruitment, and subscription-based expert content. Its network reportedly includes more than one million professionals and former executives spanning sectors such as healthcare, technology, industrials, energy, consumer goods, financial services, and public policy. The firm’s clients include hedge funds, mutual funds, private equity firms, management consulting firms, and Fortune 500 corporations seeking differentiated insights for investment research and strategic decision-making.
Since its founding, GLG has undergone several ownership and financing changes. In 2015, private equity firm SFW Capital Partners invested more than $200 million in the business, providing capital to support international expansion and technology development. Since then, GLG has continued investing heavily in compliance infrastructure, AI-enhanced search capabilities, and scalable expert-content platforms as competition in the expert network and investment research industries has intensified.
Our Take
For institutional research teams, the sequential timing of these two announcements matters. GLG did not simply relaunch its client portal; it simultaneously embedded its Expert Content Library into the Bloomberg Terminal’s agentic AI layer, giving buy-side analysts a path to primary expert insight without leaving their core workflow. Firms that are already Terminal-dependent will encounter GLG content organically, which is a compounding disadvantage for expert network competitors whose content sits outside that ecosystem.
GLG’s compliance architecture deserves more attention than the product headlines suggest. As AI adoption accelerates across hedge funds and asset managers, the central procurement question is not whether a tool is fast but whether a firm’s legal and compliance team will approve it. GLG’s traceable citations and configurable data governance address MNPI risk in a way that generic AI research tools do not. That infrastructure advantage is real and, in regulated sectors, tends to be durable.
The broader strategic picture is that GLG is converting its historical data asset into an AI training and retrieval advantage. AlphaSights, Third Bridge, and newer AI-native entrants are all investing in similar directions, but GLG’s decades of proprietary expert interaction data give its matching and synthesis tools a head start that will be difficult to close quickly. It will be interesting to see how GLG’s client retention and revenue per seat expand as the full suite of myGLG enhancements rolls out over the coming weeks.
