New York – Investorside Research Association, the trade association for independent research providers, will be holding its Members’ Day conference Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the New York Athletic Club. The event is open to prospective members as well as current members. Asset managers and compliance officers are also welcome.
The agenda (below) includes updates on macro and micro trends impacting the research industry, regulatory topics, and the M&A environment for research firms. The session will also feature an innovative ‘working lunch’ to engage members on topics central to the industry. The keynote will be a ‘fireside chat’ with Harald Malmgren, an expert on world trade and investment flows who has worked with four U.S. presidents. Malmgren was in Japan when the recent quake and tsunami hit, and will have insights to share on this and other current topics.
Members’ Day was originally scheduled for February 3rd in Washington DC, but was rescheduled because of a blizzard.
