This Week’s U.S. Policy Panel

This week’s webinar on the Policy Impacts of the 2020 US Election, scheduled for Thursday, October 22nd at 11:00 am ET, will feature four highly experienced analysts from independent research and policy consulting firms to clarify the various policy impacts of the 2020 U.S. election and which industries or assets are likely to be the biggest winners and losers.  The analysts on this week’s panel include:

John Duncan, Principal & Founder, Meridian Research Group, a provider of public policy research and analysis for leading asset management firms. John has spent close to fifteen years in senior government and corporate roles, serving as Director of Policy for the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and as Deputy Chief of Staff/Acting Chief of Staff to the U.S. Secretary of Labor. He also served as a senior advisor and campaign manager to the former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. John Duncan has a MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA from Georgetown University.

Heidi-Crebo Rediker, CEO, International Capital Strategies, an advisory firm to the global hedge fund community on capital markets, the international monetary system, emerging markets, and global governance issues.  Heidi is also an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Trilateral Commission and a member of the Advisory Board of Campbell Lutyens. Previously, Ms. Crebo-Rediker served as the State Department’s first Chief Economist and was the Chief of International Finance and Economics for the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, following nearly two decades in Europe as a senior investment banker. Heidi holds academic degrees from Dartmouth College and the London School of Economics.

Julia Coronado, Founder, Macro Policy Perspectives & Clinical Associate Professor at the McCombs School of Business at University of Texas at Austin. Prior to starting MPP Julia was Chief Economist at the hedge fund Graham Capital Management and BNP Paribas, and a Senior Economist at Barclays Capital. She is a member of the Economic Advisory Panel of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the Economic Studies Council at the Brookings Institution. Julia is also on the Board of Directors of Robert Half International and serves on the Advisory Boards of the Pension Research Council at the Wharton School and the Cleveland Fed’s Center for Inflation Research. Julia received her B.A. in Economics from University of Illinois Urbana and her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Texas.

John Fagan, Principal, Markets Policy Partners.  From 2014 until September 2018, John Fagan was Director of the U.S. Treasury’s Markets Room and prior to that was a Senior Macro Strategist for hedge fund Discovery Capital Management, primarily responsible for Asian equity indexes, foreign exchange, and rates markets. John holds a M.P.A. from Harvard’s Kennedy School and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and as the Harvard University Frederick Sheldon Traveling Fellow, he spent 2001-2002 in Bangkok, Thailand, researching legal reform and development in Thai capital markets. John graduated from Williams College in 1995 with a B.A. in Asian Studies.
