Verity and Aiera Announce Strategic Product Partnership

Research Management software provider Verity recently announced a strategic partnership with real-time Wall Street corporate event & transcription service provider, Aiera.

New Partnership

A few weeks ago, Verity, a leading provider of research management software & analytics, announced a strategic partnership with Aiera, a real-time Wall Street events and transcript provider and speech technology platform, to deliver a comprehensive RMS platform with access to live (and recent) corporate events.

As a result of this partnership, Verity RMS users will be able to access Aiera’s coverage of live & recent financial events across 12,000+ equities and 50,000+ events annually. Users will be able to stream live event audio with one click; follow along with live transcription (less than 500 milliseconds of delay with 97%+ accuracy); and control the live audio with DVR like capabilities (pause and rewind live events).  In addition, users will have access to smart keyword search across transcripts, native note-taking directly within the transcripts, and a suite of AI-powered advanced analytics such as sentiment analysis and topic extraction.

“Event intelligence is a critical pillar of investment research, and vital to our customer base,” said Andrew Robson, CEO at Verity. “Our partnership with Aiera will mean that our joint customers will be able to consume past, live, and upcoming events in real-time without having to switch between product interfaces – making it easier than ever to streamline investment workflows and offering an even richer RMS experience.”

Ken Sena, Co-Founder, and CEO of Aiera explained the rationale for the deal saying, “With a growing number of virtualized events, the investment industry is experiencing new pain points – primarily around the tracking, accessibility, and consumption of expanding event information. Offering event transcription search and listening tools directly within an RMS reduces friction from less jumping around and adds to collaboration, with the ability to highlight, comment, and share with colleagues directly within the text itself.”

Founded in 2016, Aiera is a speech to text and search platform founded by former internet analyst at Evercore ISI Ken Sena (CEO) and Amazon Alexa engineering lead Bryan Healey (CTO).  Since the firm’s initial founding, Aiera has been repositioned as platform enabling real-time corporate event intelligence and insights.

Our Take

After merging MackeyRMS with InsiderScore and its affiliate InFilings in February 2021, the firm hired a new CEO two months later, and in November 2021, the firm was rebranded as Verity.  MackeyRMS has been recast as VerityRMS while InsiderScore and InFilings have been integrated into VerityData.  The vision behind Verity is to better integrate a wide range of data into research workflows.

Verity’s recently announced partnership with Aiera makes a great deal of sense as buy-side analysts regularly use corporate events transcripts as a part of their research process.  Enabling clients to listen to live events with one click, access corporate event transcripts directly from their RMS, and take and share notes about these events with colleagues greatly enhances their research workflow.

While this may be Aiera’s first deal to integrate its corporate events content with an RMS, we doubt it will be the last such deal.  We suspect that Verity, on the other hand, will remain active in partnering with unique content providers that are used by institutional investors in the investment research process.
