Ken Marlin
Ken Marlin is Managing Partner and Founder of Marlin & Associates. Prior to founding M&A, Ken led the Business Information and Internet practice at the media merchant bank and private equity fund Veronis Suhler Stevenson. Earlier Ken was SVP for Strategy, Mergers and Acquisitions at Dun & Bradstreet where he led over 60 transactions involving US and non-US firms, including transactions in 13 countries. Ken then took the position of President and CEO of Telekurs (NA) a global information technology and data firm owned by a consortium of Swiss banks. Ken and his partners acquired a large portion of Telekurs NA to form Telesphere Corporation, where he was President and CEO. Telesphere was sold to Bridge Information Systems, where Ken took the position of Executive Vice President. Ken is one of the 25 inaugural members of the Market Data Hall of Fame; has been named to Institutional Investor's “Tech 50”, which honors the 50 most “disruptive” figures in the financial technology sector; and named by Institutional Investor as one the 50 most influential people in the financial technology industry. Ken earned a BA from the University of California (Irvine), an MBA from UCLA, and a post-MBA Advanced Professional Certificate in Corporate Strategy from New York University. He is a former Captain and infantry company commander in the US Marine Corps (serving two tours in the Far East), and a former board member of the American Red Cross of Greater New York and the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. Currently, Ken is a member of the Board of Directors of the Phoenix House Foundation as well as a Board Member of the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club. He also works to support the Wall Street Warriors Foundation as well as the BJ/SPSA Homeless shelter, where he and his daughter are regular overnight volunteers. Ken lives in Manhattan with his wife, daughter, a dog, a cat, and a turtle. Ken is a registered securities principal and holds series 24, 7, 62 and 63.
